For most of us, New Years is long gone – the champagne bottles are recycled, the tinsel cleaned up and the well wishes a thing of the past. Well, I bet the resolutions are a thing of the past too. Time to refresh (no need to wait until Jan 1. 2014), here’s a list of 3 simple things you can start today:
1. Be A Giver.
Give back. Sure we are all busy – here are a few ways you can provide joy for someone else:
- volunteer at the local food bank, drop off some canned items (our cupboards are full), help prepare and dish out meals. You’ll be glad you did. Start here –> http://www.dailybread.ca/getinvolved/volunteer-details/
- give money, contribute to a cause – there are plenty –> http://www.causes.com/
2. One New Word A Day
If you are like most people, you start to use the same words over and over. Take this challenge, learn one new word a day for 30 days. Add it to your vocabulary – trust me, you’ll be amazed at what you learn.

3. Read.
When was the last time you picked up a book? The last time you went to the library, or purchased an eBook to read? If you can’t remember, its time to start. Check out these great resources:
